The art of progress is to preserve order amid change and to preserve change amid order. -Alfred North Whitehead

This assessment is intended to help you identify the approach or approaches that you most often take when confronted with work problems involving others—your co-workers, your direct reports, and your supervisors.

Most of us have, by the time we reach adulthood and are in a full-time employment situation, developed more-or-less standard patterns of how we deal with work problems. This often blocks our view of alternative approaches that might be even more productive. The Change Strategy Preference Index (CSPI) is aimed at both identifying your typical approach and highlighting alternative options.

The CSPI assessment is based on sound behavioral science research and organizational theory. Most of this work was done quite some time ago, starting in the 1940s, and has been repeatedly proven to be practically useful in real settings. A detailed interpretation that should help you better understand your own results will be presented along with your scores.
